Load cells are precise sensors for weight detection and force measurement and form the core of many electronic scales and weighing systems. They detect the force or load acting on a structure and convert it into an electrical signal using strain gauges. As a result, load cells, weighing cells, weighing sensors, and force sensors enable reliable and precise weight measurement in a wide variety of applications.

Depending on the area of application, various designs and measuring principles are used. These include, among others, bending beam load cells, shear beam load cells, double-ended shear beams, compression load cells, tension load cells, tension-compression load cells, and single-point load cells. For special applications, load measuring pins, high-capacity load cells, and other special designs are also available.

Our load cells are suitable for numerous weighing technology applications – for example, for platform scales, floor scales, vehicle scales, axle load scales, silo scales, tank and container weighing, dosing systems, conveyor technology, and industrial weighing systems. Weighing elements are also used for reliable weight detection in agriculture, biogas technology, production, logistics, retail, as well as research and development.

Depending on the model, load cells made of aluminum, nickel-plated steel, or stainless steel are available, as well as versions with different protection classes, nominal loads, and accuracy classes. Our range extends from load cells for low loads and small platform scales to high-capacity load cells for several hundred tons. Many models are legal-for-trade and suitable for use in commercial weighing systems.
