Compression load cells

Compression load cells are specialized force sensors designed for the precise measurement of compressive or crushing forces. By means of integrated strain gauges attached to a stable metal body, they reliably convert mechanical deformations into electrical signals. These signals are proportional to the applied load and allow for exact weight measurement – even under very high forces.

Thanks to their compact yet extremely robust design – usually cylindrical or disc-shaped – compression load cells are ideally suited for use in demanding industrial environments. They are characterized by high repeatability, long service life, and resistance to extreme loads.

Typical areas of application include industrial weighing systems such as silo scales, tank scales, or heavy-duty platforms, as well as vehicle and railway scales and applications in the process industry for controlling material flows. They are also used in test benches and pressing devices for force measurement.
