The measurement is based on the underwater weight of the potatoes. A robust stainless steel basket holds between 3 kg and 6 kg of potatoes , which are weighed underwater after the scale is tared. The starch content and dry matter can be read immediately on the WWA-1 display – no manual calculation required!

This is how the measurement works:

Fill water tank 2/3 full
Switch on WWA-1 – display shows 0g
Attach basket – weight is displayed
Press tare button – set scale to 0g
Lower the empty basket underwater and save with F2
Remove basket and add potatoes (3 kg – 6 kg)
Save potato weight with F1
Immerse the basket in water – WWA-1 automatically displays the starch content and dry matter
