The measurement is based on the underwater weight of the potatoes. A robust stainless steel basket holds between 3 kg and 6 kg of potatoes , which are weighed underwater after the scale is tared. The starch content and dry matter content can be read immediately on the WWA-1 display – no manual calculation required!

This is how the measurement works:

1. Fill water tank 2/3 full

2. Switch on WWA-1 – display shows 0g

3. Attach basket – weight is displayed

4. Press tare button – set scale to 0g

5. Lower the empty basket underwater and save with F2

6. Remove basket and add potatoes (3 kg – 6 kg)

7. Save potato weight with F1

8. Immerse the basket in water – WWA-1 automatically displays the starch content and dry matter
