Our WWA-1 evaluation device is constantly being developed further and now has a range of options with which the device can be expanded. The RS-485 interface with Modbus RTU is completely new . In addition, you can choose between 3 different power supply options.
At this point we would like to list all possible options for you.
power supply
- Mains operation 230V 50/60Hz (wide range input 85 - 305VAC)
- Option 12/24V (6-28V) DC for e.g. connecting an external battery or for mobile applications on a vehicle
- Internal battery (LiFePo4) with which the device can easily be operated for 12 hours
inputs / outputs
Digital inputs and outputs are required to connect a relay box, a traffic light, other signal generators and external buttons. You can choose between 2 options:
- 4 outputs
- 2 inputs & 2 outputs
interfaces
In addition to the RS-232 serial interface for connecting a remote display, printer or computer, which is available as standard, an additional interface can be selected for connection to other systems (e.g. field bus, PLC):
- Analog output 4-20mA / 0-20mA / 0-10V
- Second serial interface RS-232
- RS-485
- Modbus RTU
- CAN bus
- Profibus / Profinet (via external converter)
- LoRa for wireless data transmission from weighbridge to WWA-1
Ethernet and Modbus TCP will follow in the near future.
USB (data logger)
The WWA-1 evaluation device can also be fitted with a USB port. This means that all weighings can be retrieved using the USB stick provided. The data records are temporarily stored in the device. If the USB stick is then connected, the weighings are transferred to the USB stick. This has the advantage that the stick does not have to remain permanently plugged in. The data records can be read directly from the USB stick using Excel.
