Precision balance PCB – laboratory balance with weighing surface 82 mm diameter
The PCB precision balance with a weighing surface of 82 mm sets new standards in the laboratory sector and is the ideal solution for technical experiments, research, and Industry 4.0 applications. Whether in educational institutions, research laboratories, or production environments – this laboratory balance impresses with its precision, flexibility, and state-of-the-art interfaces.
Compatibility and software integration
Thanks to the KERN School Protocol, the balance is compatible with school-specific software solutions such as Vernier® or LabQuest®. The USB data interface allows weighing data to be easily transferred to a PC, laptop, or other device. The balance is perfectly suited for evaluations, visualizations, and integration into digital learning environments.
Industry 4.0 Ready – Networked Weighing Technology
The integrated KERN Universal Port (KUP) interface allows for easy connection of external adapters for RS-232, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet. Thanks to the modular system, interfaces can be retrofitted without opening the housing. The adapters can be used to transmit weighing data directly to networks, smartphones, tablets, laptops, or printers. Remote control of the scale or data entry via external devices is also easily possible. With the KERN KUP-13 Extension Box, up to three interfaces can be operated in parallel. The KERN Communication Protocol (KCP) supports querying and controlling the scale via computers or external control devices.
Functions and ease of use
The scale offers a uniform and user-friendly operating philosophy with numerous functions for precise work:
-
PRE-TARE function for manual pre-subtraction of container weights, ideal for filling quantity and dosing controls
-
Recipe function for precise mixing of several ingredients and control of the total weight
-
Checkweighing (weighing with tolerance range) supported by optical signal for portioning, dosing or sorting
-
Freely programmable weighing units – display e.g. in thread length g/m, paper weight g/m² and much more
-
Anti-shock system between weighing plate and load cell reduces vibrations for fast and reliable results
Design and features
-
Ring-shaped draft shield as standard, weighing chamber ∅×H 90×40 mm
-
Protective work hood included
-
Power supply via power supply, batteries (4 x 1.5V AA) or optional rechargeable battery
Optional accessories
Available on request: printer, interface cable, battery, adjustment weight
Areas of application
