The PCB precision scale, with its generous 130 x 130 mm weighing surface, sets new standards in laboratories and modern Industry 4.0 applications. It is the perfect companion for precise weighing, dosing, and portioning in educational institutions, research laboratories, industry, and production.

Thanks to compatibility with school-specific software solutions such as Vernier ® or LabQuest ®, weighing data can be conveniently transferred to a PC, laptop or tablet via the USB interface using the KERN School Protocol – ideal for experiments, evaluations and digital documentation.

Industry 4.0 ready – flexible interfaces

The scale features the KERN Universal Port (KUP) , which allows for the connection of external adapters such as RS-232, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet . Interfaces can be easily added by simply plugging them in without having to open the housing. This allows weighing data to be conveniently transferred to networks, computers, smartphones, tablets, or printers . The KUP-13 extension box allows up to three interface adapters to be operated in parallel.

In addition, the KERN Communication Protocol (KCP) enables remote control and query of the balance via external devices or computers – ideal for automated processes and digitally networked laboratory environments.

Precise weighing made easy

  • PRE-TARE function : Automatic or manual pre-subtraction of container weights, ideal for filling level checks.

  • Recipe function : Combine several components with display of the total weight for exact weighing of mixtures.

  • Checkweighing (weighing with tolerance range) : Optical signal supports portioning, dosing and sorting.

  • Freely programmable weighing unit : Display in any unit such as g, mg, g/m² or thread length g/m.

Comfort & Safety

The scale is equipped with an anti-shock system that minimizes vibrations and ensures fast, precise measurement results. A protective cover is included. Power is supplied via the included power adapter , batteries (4 x 1.5V AA), or an optional rechargeable battery.
