The MCWHU "HULK" series crane scale is a high-performance industrial crane scale for the precise weighing of heavy loads in demanding environments. Due to its high load capacity, extremely robust construction, and dual safety system, it is ideally suited for use in industrial plants, warehouses, production facilities, steel mills, and logistics centers.

This digital hanging scale allows for the lifting, weighing, and moving of loads and can be permanently integrated into existing crane and lifting systems. The compact overall height ensures minimal space requirements and maximum flexibility during installation.

Maximum safety and regulatory compliance

The integrated dual safety system makes the MCWHU "HULK" suitable for permanent installation in lifting systems. The crane scale fulfills all relevant directives and standards, including 2006/42/EC, UNI EN 13155/2009, UNI EN 13889, and 2014/30/EU. It is optionally available as a legal-for-trade crane scale (CE-M) for compliant use in commercial applications.

Optimal readability and intuitive operation

The large LED display with 40 mm high red digits ensures excellent readability even from a distance. The splash-proof keypad with five function keys (Zero, automatic tare, mode, print, on/off) enables safe and comfortable operation even under difficult conditions. A plexiglass shield for the display and keypad protects the control unit from dirt.

Standard radio remote control with clearly defined functions

The standard radio remote control (433 MHz, range up to 50 m) significantly increases ease of use. It features the following functions:

• Zeroing (Zero)

• Tare

• Activate / deactivate function (e.g., HOLD or PEAK)

• Printout / print function

• Switch off the crane scale

The remote control thus enables safe control from a distance, without direct contact with the load or the scale.

Flexible weighing functions for industrial use

The MCWHU "HULK" offers several operating modes, including PEAK value display, HOLD function, and weight totalization. With an accuracy of ±0.03% of the weighing capacity, this heavy-duty crane scale is a reliable solution for precise weight detection.

Extremely robust design for harsh environments

The housing made of fire-hardened, painted sheet steel with IP67 protection rating reliably protects the scale against dust, dirt, and moisture. The operating temperature range of -10 to +40 °C (+80 °C optional with heat shield) allows for use even under extreme thermal conditions.

Power supply

Standard equipment includes an easily replaceable battery pack with approx. 60 hours of operation, a 230 V power adapter (EU, UK, US) for charging, as well as the option for 24/7 continuous operation with optional accessories. Additionally, the device has an automatic switch-off function for energy saving.

Factory options (available upon request only)

Numerous optional extensions are available for the MCWHU "HULK" crane scale, which are integrated exclusively at the factory and specifically adapt the functional range to individual requirements. These options are particularly suitable for special industrial applications, high-temperature areas, and networked weighing systems.

• Radio transmission to an external display unit
  Wireless data transmission with a range of up to 70 m indoors. Ideal for applications where the weight must be read from a safe distance.

• WIFI interface (WLAN connection)
  Enables wireless data transmission into existing networks for further processing, documentation, or connection to IT and ERP systems.

• Heat shield (thermal protection)
  Protection against high ambient temperatures. Recommended for use in foundries, steel mills, and high-temperature zones.

• External display unit with accessories
  Connection of an external display from the DFW, 3590, TRS, or DGT series, optionally with printer or additional accessories, integrated into the radio transmission system.

• Separate charging station for 24/7 continuous operation
  230 VAC / 50 Hz charging unit for uninterrupted 24-hour operation, including an additional battery kit and adapter for external recharging.

• Alibi memory
  Internal memory for tamper-proof storage of weighing data, particularly relevant for applications requiring legal-for-trade and documentation.

• Real-time clock with date and time
  For accurate chronological logging of weighing processes and printouts.

• ACCREDIA calibration certificate according to OIML / ASTM
  Official calibration certificate for the highest requirements regarding traceability, quality assurance, and international standard compliance.
