The BT (deep) is designed as a ground-mounted scale with a relocatable precast reinforced concrete bridge. Depending on local conditions, various pit designs are available: as a precast pit, on-site concrete pit, or a combination of both types.

The single-piece weighbridge offers high stability and is designed for permanent use with heavy vehicles. Depending on the version, lengths from 8 to 20 meters and widths from 2.5 to 3.5 meters are possible. The pit depth is 1.15 meters.

The vehicle scale is designed in accordance with DIN 8119 for load capacities up to 60 tons and can be configured for legal-for-trade use up to 60 t.

Walk-in scale pit – easy cleaning and maintenance

A particular advantage of the BT (deep) vehicle scale is the walk-in scale pit. Access is provided conveniently via two access shafts. This allows the substructure to be entered and the area beneath the weighbridge to be inspected, cleaned, and maintained.

Precise load cells with high protection against environmental influences

High-precision load cells are used for weight determination. Even with a bridge length of up to 20 meters, only four load cells are required. Depending on the version, load cells with a capacity of up to 50 t and accuracy class C4 can be used, for example.

The load cells feature high protection ratings of IP68 or IP69K, making them optimally suited for demanding operating conditions involving moisture, dust, and dirt.

For additional operational safety, various protection options are available, including rodent-proof cables and internal lightning protection against surges.

The corresponding junction box has a robust die-cast aluminum housing with an IP68 protection rating and is designed to accommodate four load cells.

Modern weighing electronics and initial factory calibration

As standard, the vehicle scale BT (deep) is equipped with the high-performance 83sigma weighing terminal. Depending on the desired area of application, other terminals can be used as an alternative.

For a quick and uncomplicated start, initial calibration or conformity assessment directly from the factory is possible. This makes the BT (deep) suitable for applications where weighing is carried out in legally regulated commercial transactions.

Depending on the weighing range, the resolution is 10 kg up to 30 t and 20 kg thereafter.

Flexible equipment for modern vehicle weighing

The BT vehicle scale can be adapted to individual requirements with extensive accessories. For convenient weight monitoring, for example, a remote display can be installed.

To document weighing results, printers and weigh slips are available. With the vehicle scale software WWS-F, weighing data can be recorded, managed, analyzed, and documented.

For comfortable operation, radio systems and external control units are also available. RFID-based vehicle and operator identification systems enable automated identification, for example via key fobs or smart cards.

For additional monitoring, a surveillance camera can be used. It allows you to check whether the vehicle is positioned completely on the weighbridge. In conjunction with the WWS-F software, the recorded images can be saved together with the weighing information.

T-profiles or rubber profiles can also be used to better protect the joint areas and the area under the weighbridge from penetrating dirt.
