Our WWA-1 evaluation unit is now also available with the WWC-4N relay box. This means it can now be used for simple dosing functions, target weighing (checkweigh function), and other switching functions. In the following video, you can see an example of simple dispensing. A target quantity is dispensed from a filled container at the push of a button. The dispensing program features flow-out correction, meaning that with every dispensing cycle, it determines how much material has continued to flow after the valve or screw feeder was switched off. The WWA-1 records this flow-out and shuts off earlier during subsequent cycles so that the desired target value is precisely reached. The dispensing process can be paused, resumed, or stopped at the touch of a button. If the container weight is less than the weight to be dispensed, the weight will flash, and the process cannot be started.
Since the WWC-4N relay box features 4 potential-free relays, one could, for example, also dispense 4 components into a weighed container. Controlling a frequency converter—for example, to run a screw feeder at multiple speeds—is also no problem. Naturally, the box can also be used to control simple signal devices (e.g., a traffic light or horn).
